Turkish Tulu Area Rug
Rug No.: FSE-#119
Type: Tulu
Size: 4’ 5” x 5’ 9”
Origin: Turkey
Description: Tulu rugs are from eastern Turkey and, translated literally, means “hairy.” This is a hand knotted rug that is a step beyond shaggy. The Ghiordes/Gordes knots are left intentionally long, which somewhat obscures the ornate design (though it is still visible and eye-catching from a birds eye view photo) but makes a supremely thick and soft rug. Traditionally used as bedding, floor covering, wall hangings, even as bed clothes in its region of origin, Tulu rugs spare no expense at creating maximum comfort and coziness. This rug is primarily cream/ivory with pink, seafoam, and golden orange detailing.
Photos only capture part of the story. We’d love for you to stop by and see the rug in person—feel the texture, take in the colors, and see how it fits your vision for your home. You can schedule a showroom visit online or give us a call at 434-985-1784.
