Description: Mamluk rugs originated in Cairo, Egypt during the Mamluk Sultanate(1250-1517) and are fine textiles with such rich histories that they can be found in museums today.  These hand knotted rugs are characterized by the kaleidoscope effect that entrances the eye with symmetrical motifs around a central medallion.  This rug is predominantly a shade of brilliant red with a green border.  In the field there are other geometric medallions and it is absolutely brimming with ornate details of gold, black, orange, blue, ivory, and navy.  It is a handsome rug that will elevate a room.

Photos only capture part of the story. We’d love for you to stop by and see the rug in person—feel the texture, take in the colors, and see how it fits your vision for your home. You can schedule a showroom visit online or give us a call at 434-985-1784.
