Ziegler rugs are not named after a region or tribe, rather they are named after the European company that was founded in the 19th century that introduced new aesthetics to the craftsmanship of traditional Persian rug making. This rug is an excellent example of how they tend to feature an “all over design” rather than a large central medallion. They are symmetrical and often are filled with floral and botanical motifs. This rug is predominantly blue with details of cream, red, gold, and green with a multilayered border. It is regal, has a very short fringe, and would make a lovely addition to any space.
