Description: Senna/Senneh rugs are an especially fine variety of Kurdish made rugs. Named after the old name for the capital of Kurdistan in modern day Iran, they are made of wool and this one features many motifs. It is predominantly red and has a tiger in each corner. It has an intricate border and central medallion with details in blue, cream, black, light blue, and faded gold. On each side it has two birds and four hands as well as several Boteh motifs, Seeds of Life. This rug is rich in symbolism and nice to look at.
