Description: This Persian rug is an Antique meaning it is over 100 years old! Older carpets of the Hamadan region have an enduring excellent reputation. They were hand knotted on a cotton warp and called Shahr-baff which is a combination of the words city and knots. These rugs are supremely rare and their quality is shown in how it has withstood the test of time. This pattern is both geometric and vaguely botanical, being predominantly faded brick red and navy with details of light blue, green, gold, brown, and ivory.
