Afghan War Rug
Type: War Rug
Size: 3’ 11” x 6’ 1”
Design: Afghan
This hand knotted rug portrays a tumultuous moment in history. We received this rug from an instructor at West Point and it depicts a town during wartime. Hand knotted on a background of golden stands and umber, personal residences and shops are shown with greenery and cars around. However, overhead are three war helicopters, foreboding of death and destruction that fly over the mountains inescapably. The rug is predominantly grey-brown with gold, blue, red, black, and ivory detailing and it has a long fringe.
Photos only capture part of the story. We’d love for you to stop by and see the rug in person—feel the texture, take in the colors, and see how it fits your vision for your home. You can schedule a showroom visit online or give us a call at 434-985-1784.
